Beastie Boys is one of the most famous rap and hip hop group. Their talents are such that even heavy metal and rock groups give them a due respect.

The disliking of rock for the hip hop began as soon as the music changed its shape and mixed with the image that represented displaying of wealth and other stuff that sexually oriented. Women are shown wearing no clothes except bikinis and moving and posturing in a sexual way which has unfortunately begun the culture of rap and hip hop music and also known as MTV culture. People shown wearing oversized “bling blings”, riding expensive cars, limousines and wearing their pants so low that are almost touching their knees. For that reason rock music distanced itself from them. It is not like that rock artists sometimes follow the same track to gain the publicity but at least they can hide behind their good music.

The Beastie Boys is not a typical hip hop band in a way that doesn’t use women in the same manner and others often do. Their music is great and delivers music at its purest of forms.

They are also the 1st group to have released their song online and have been quite successful in doing so. It also encouraged other artist to do the same. By doing so these artists can show their work and they don’t need the approval of any label company. It is also for artists in a way that they can sustain their career.

In the start of the Beastie Boys carrier they were mixed up with violence but since them they kept away from troubles and produced fine music. All of their music means something unlike the other rap and hip hop artists whose lyrics are nothing but garbage. If you listen to the words carefully you will be shocked to know how much abusive language they use in their lyrics. Topics of girls and sex are core of their songs. Even the videos show naked girls dancing on the pole and doing stuff you won’t find anywhere else.

In 2009, Adam Yauch, suffered from cancer and went through treatment that’s why they stayed low for a while in order to support Adam. Since then Adam has recovered and now they are performing again but something changed during their time. Although their music is still rocks but the blings we gone and also their pants were in correct order. There were also no big tattoos and stuff like that. They were still rapping their hearts out.

They produced 4 albums on the billboard charts put of which one of the songs broke all records and is considered all-time great. They inspire other singers and achieved so much in their careers as a musician.
